Pesky Pesticides & Why It Matters to YOU!
Pesticides are toxic by design. They are created expressly to kill living organisms – insects, plants and fungi that are considered “pests.” Pesticides contaminate our soil, air, food and water supply.
Many pesticides pose harmful risks to both the health of humans as well as to the soil we grown our foods in. Health risks have been confirmed by independent scientists and physicians around the world in addition to U.S. and international government agencies. The potential health problems connected to pesticides include brain and nervous system toxicity, cancer and hormone disruption.
Effects on children include but are not limited to leukemia, respiratory disease, cancer and poor mental development. Effects on farmers applying these nasty chemicals include but are not limited to Parkinson’s Disease, non-hogdkins lymphoma, and low sperm count. The placenta for children in utero acts as a magnifying glass and increases the risks 10 times! Those risks include ADHD, Autism, reduced IQ and birth defects.
